The Arts in Society’s Updates
Add Media to Your Presenter Page! Seventeenth International Conference on the Arts in Society - San Jorge University Zaragoza, Spain, 4-6 July 2022
Are you presenting at this year's conference? Make sure to add your digital content -- video, sound, other files -- to your personal Presenter Page. Our blended model seeks to transcend physical boundaries by offering a platform to extend in-person conference content online while ensuring online-only delegates are afforded equal participatory and experiential spaces within the platform. At the same time, the model offers participants a legacy resource to which they can return in the Event application, with access to a social space in our Community application where fellow participants can keep connected long after the conference ends. Take the link to find out how to add your digital media.

I need to add additional media but my video link has been disabled. Can you please restore my ability to upload my presentation?
I went into the schedule of asynchronous presentations and don't see mine listed
Jacqueline C. Nanfito
Thank you Jacqueline - looking into this. I will get back to you shortly.
Dear Tamsyn,
I went into my presenter page this morning to add a zoom video link to the existing slide pdf and was unable to upload - can you assist?

Hi Tamsyn - I followed the online directions to post a Power Point presentation but, the system (or maybe my connection) is not showing that the file was actually posted even after 3 different tries. Could you suggest another alternative, or perhaps I could try e-mailing you the file? Thank you for your continued guidance! Katherine
I don't see it Katherine. Please email me the document to tamsyn@cgnetworks.org and I will upload on your behalf.
Hi Tamsyn - You've stated clearly that online presenters are not assigned a time slot. I have decided to present online however, I DO HAVE A TIME SLOT....July 4, Room 3, at 16:10. Let me make sure I am clear on what you are advising... Are you advising that I ignore the assigned time slot and quickly create a video instead? Many thanks, in advance, for clearing this up! Katherine
Yes, you do. Your registration was not altered to online only. I have done this now. You will now appear in the Online Only tab, and you should upload your video/digital media.
Hi, my question is the same as Katherine Kiemke's
I intend to present synchronously, but remotely. I have uploaded my slides, but do not have any information about the time slot for my presentation (maybe I just missed it) or the protocol for presenting. Can you assist?
Thanks,
Kate Catterall
Hello Kate - you have a themed paper presentation.
All online only themed paper presentations are asynchronous and rely on a digital media upload by the presenter and a discussion board.
An Asynchronous session is one that does not have set time restraints. Asynchronous sessions are delivered via Digital Media and discussed using the Discussion Boards. Presenters of Asynchronous sessions do not have a time slot for delivering a live presentation, nor do they have an assigned time to be available for questions.

Hi Tamsyn - I appreciate your comments but need additional assistance. I do have a time slot to present and have opted to present online rather than in person. Can you help me understand how to present remotely if I am not registered in an asynchronous session? Many thanks! Katherine
@Tamsyn Gilbert,
All online only sessions are asynchronous with the exception of plenary sessions which are live on Zoom. You need to upload your digital media and then there is discussion in the discussion boards.

Hello everyone! We have already uploaded our contribution. I'm representing a group of designers, anthropologists and a narrator working together to get a graphic novel to teach about bioarchaeology a science which studies human remains to approach to life conditions in the past. We are from Colombia. We hope you will find our contribution interesting!
Hello There - I am still waiting for an answer on how to present remotely. Thanks, in advance, for guidance!

Hello, I, likewise, have not received any instructions on how to submit online. Is it possible to get some information?
Thank you
