Meet one of the plenary speakers who will be presenting in Spanish at the Fourteenth International Conference on Religion & Spirituality in Society.

José Ramón Polo Sabau (Madrid, 1970) holds a degree and PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and is currently Professor of State Ecclesiastical Law at the University of Malaga. He is a member of the Spanish Society of Sciences of Religions, was a postdoctoral fellow of the "Del Amo" Program of the Complutense University and has developed part of his research activity in various international centers, specifically at the universities of Berkeley (International and Comparative Law Center), London (Institute of Advanced Legal Studies) and London (Institute of Advanced Legal Studies), London (Institute of Advanced Legal Studies), Edinburgh (Centre for Constitutional Law), Dublin (Trinity College Dublin, School of Law), Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne (Collège des Hautes Études Européennes) and Paris II-Panthéon-Assas (Centre de Droit Européen). He currently holds four six-year research fellowships and is the author of more than ten books and nearly seventy articles and collaborations in collective works on topics of his specialty; among his latest publications are the monographs La naturaleza jurídica de las confesiones religiosas en el Derecho Constitucional español, El estatuto de las confesiones religiosas en el Derecho de la Unión Europea, Dimensiones de la libertad religiosa en el Derecho español and, Matrimonio, Derecho y factor religioso.
