The use of artificial intelligence in English language learning and teaching

Ubiquitous learning can be defined as an everyday learning environment that is supported by mobile and embedded computers and wireless networks in our everyday life It is widely used in many countries. Many students and workers find ubiquitous learning very useful because they can learn anywhere and any time.

The use of artificial intelligence in English learning has been used widely among many learners and teachers. Many studies have showing that artificial intelligence has positive impact on English language learning. It can be used as a means of developing English learning for students. Applications such as Duolingo, Google translate and Grammarly can assist students in learning or English assignments in various aspects of skills, ranging from writing , listening to to speaking (specially pronunciation).

AI Can also take the form of chat bought that facilitate communication to improve one’s language skills. It’s very helpful to improve your speaking skills and lower the fear of making mistakes while talking to native speakers or to the teacher .fear in the use of foreign languages , especially speaking to students can cause students achievement score is in learning to decrease. The higher the level of anxiety, the achievement of the students score in foreign language learning well decrease.

EWA and Replika Are two applications that I found very useful for my students to use to practice speaking. They are very helpful for students from different levels especially the teenagers because of the psychological issues that they may have while they want to practice the language like fear of making mistakes , anxiety and low self confidence and self steam. Both of the applications allow you to practice The language by chatting or even by making calls. You will practice the language with a chatbot . You will have a partner to practice the language with.
