New Learning MOOC’s Updates

REAL-LIFE OUTCOME

Authentic Pedagogy is an approach that gives instruction and assessment to the authentic achievement of a learner. It allows the students to reflect back on their learning over time and to showcase their work. Examples of this are intellectual properties, journals, portfolio and professional artifacts. And through application of critical inquiry and utilization of information an individual can create a solution to a complex problem, a real-life one.

By this approach students are encourage to make an output with their uniqueness, creativity, decision-making ability based upon his/her knowledge. But the disadvantages about this are: it may contain unusual native language, incorrect grammar and some error. The assessment could become unpredictable and subjective if criteria will not be structured well. Some of the output activities may be too expensive and time consuming that may lead to frustrations of the student if the ideal plan will not be executed. That is why authentic education cannot stand alone, it needs the other types of pedagogy to become more realistic and successful.
