Abstract
Anatolia is the geography where the belief of the goddess is the most intense and widely blessed. Anatolia, which is a bridge between the Asian and European continents and has important trade routes, has witnessed great migrations due to its location, and the richness of culture and faith has developed and spread through these migrations. Today, the goddess symbols, which are used in many different fields from jewelry design to carpet design, are rare image examples that have managed to reach to the present day unchanged since the first ages. The aim of the research is to determine the transformation of goddess images in different belief systems and civilizations. The research covers the images and symbols of the goddess that existed in the fields of art and design starting from the oldest goddess image in Anatolia. In this research, sources of different disciplines such as etymology, archeology, history and art history have examined. Academic publications about Anatolian goddesses and various visual sources have used. In the process of research, it was determined that the holy female figure changed its shape in different belief systems but the figures of the goddess, especially used in traditional textile products, have survived to the present day without changing the meaning and form throughout thousands of years.
