The issue that Common Sense was trying to call the American people's attention to was that instead of always blaming certain ministers or Parliment itself, their anger should be directed to the King and the system that gave him his power. It expressed that Americans should completely break away from the government that inflicted lots of harm and caused wars. Over time, the hatred towards our current government has grown stronger over time. In our present day, people are starting to have hate for our government because of our current president-Donald Trump. Many people believe that he is causing more harm to America's people than he is helping them. Nowadays, there are many protests, and lots of them have been leading to people getting arrested or harmed.
