Cause of Revolutionary War
A main cause of the Revolutionary war was the taxation on tea, known as the tea act. This was a main cause because after the frustration, turned into action with the Boston Tea Party, the demands, of no tax, were not met. Intead the people were forced to pay off the tea. And until this was done they closed the harbor. This caused a devide because it seemed as if no matter what was done, if the people did not agree, they would still have to oblige to the rules of Britain.
Andres, was it not fair of the British to tax their own people (the colonies) in order for the government to operate? Isn't this how governments in the modern day operate?
Erin, what's the connection into the future? How would the American people want their government to solve problems like this moving forward?
Erin I also wrote about the same event that you have talked about, I believe that bringing the taxation to the colonies was a big mistake that Britain had enforced. I also feel like making an American government will make things or circumstances way better.
