Dr. Wenli Dong is currently a lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning at Zhejiang University, China. She was awarded the doctorate degree in the School of Architecture and Built Environment at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Before that she graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in China with Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning. She has published peer-reviewed journal papers and conference papers worldwide about sustainable urban development of Chinese cities. These publications aims to study the spatial land use patterns based on different physical and cultural conditions of Chinese cities and the discussion on their sustainability. Now her research interest will focus on the sustainable urban regeneration in China in the background of integrated urban-rural development.
