Dr. Vochita Mihai received her PhD from Louisiana State University in 2004. She has two master degrees in mathematics, one from Louisiana State Universy and one from the University of Bucharest. She is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Mathematics, Science and Technology Department at Medaille College. She has been teaching for the past 14 years courses ranging from developmental mathematics to complex analysis and topology in different countries.
She was invited to the workshop "Women in Mathematics: The Legacy of Ladyzhenskaya and Oleinik” MSRI, Berkeley She created the Faculty Discussion Group Mathematics Across the Curriculum(MAC), at Medaille College, NY, and was awarded the Service-Learning Faculty Fellowship from the Western New York Service-Learning Coalition and she participated/presented at numerous national and international mathematics conferences. She is a member of the Research & Teaching in Developmental Education Journal editorial board and reviewer for this journal and for the XYZ-textbooks. She has published "The Radon-Gauss transform" joint work with Dr. Ambar Sengupta, the Soochow Journal of Mathematics, Volume 33, Number 3, July 2007 and "Viete's Relations And Factorization Of Polynomials" by Vochita Mihai and Claudiu Mihai, Fall 2016
