  Veronica Limeberry is a Doctoral Candidate in International Relations at American University School of International Service in Washington DC. She holds an MALS in Gender and Diversity Studies and an MPA in Economic Planning and Development from East Tennessee State University. Limeberry researches the intersection of Indigenous territorial rights, agrobiodiversity conservation, and global foodways. She founded a non-profit for food justice, access, and education in East Tennessee, as well as developed the region's local food programming through the Appalachian RC&D Council. She has served as an AmeriCorps volunteer for local food access in central Appalachia, and undertaken a Fulbright Research Fellowship with Dr. Vandana Shiva at Navdanya in India. Limeberry has also advocated at the UN for rural women's role in ending hunger, and is currently working on a global grant connecting seed savers, agrobiodiversity conservationists, and food access workers across key regions for developing food sovereignty.;
