She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama (first class honors) from Makerere University. She has a Master of Arts degree in International Performance Research from the University of Warwick, UK (with Distinction) and a Master of Arts degree in Performance Research (with Distinction) from the University of Arts in Belgrade-Serbia. She has a bias in ethno-theatre, gender and psychology of art, all fields in which she has conducted research.
