A Masters' in Environmental Chemistry, she obtained her doctoral degree in Environmental Chemistry and did her post-doctoral research at Australia. She was awarded the prestigious British Cheverning Scholarship for Young Environmental Managers and studied Environmental Business Management at University of Manchester. She was invited by ILO to represent India to discuss training needs in Occupational Safety and Health in India. She was trained in Umea University, Sweden and University of Heidelberg, Germany on Climate change and Health and currently serves as a visiting faculty at these Universities. She is an approved tutor by the British Occupational Health Society and NEBOSH, UK. She worked at Johnson & Johnson, Canada as Research Scientist for 9 years and served as Chair of Health & Safety committee. Her fields of specialization include Climate Change, Occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety. Her responsibilities as a Professor include, teaching Environmental and Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene and Safety. A certified Occupational Hygienist, she heads the Industrial Hygiene services group and consultants for ~150 industries. Her current research is Climate Change and its impacts on Occupational health and social lives with special focus on heat stress. She has 2 internationally funded projects in Heat Stress and Occupational Health.
