Professor Val Clulow joined the College of Business, at RMIT University in October 2011, as Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Teaching.
Professor Clulow has previously held a number of senior management positions within business faculties at Australian universities and prior to joining RMIT University she was Professor and Head, School of Business and Economics, Monash University, Gippsland/Campus Director Global Engagement for 7 years.
Prior to her academic career, Professor Clulow had extensive industry experience in retail management training and consultancy.
Professor Clulow holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne (Centre for Studies in Higher Education) and has published widely across three areas - business education, marketing and business strategy and undertaken several industry/government consultancies. She is a trained teacher and holds a Masters degree in Education (distance education) from the University of South Australia. She has supervised staff and research students extensively to PhD completion, co-authored and received special commendation for developing research capacity.
In addition, Professor Clulow has extensive experience in international education and success with developing sustainable offshore partnerships.
