Dr Victoria Haskins is a professor of history at the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia, director of the Centre for 21st Century Humanities, and co-director of the Purai Global Indigenous History Centre. She has published widely on Indigenous cross-cultural histories, gender, and colonialism, particularly with regard to Indigenous domestic service. Her recent books include Colonialism and Male Domestic Service across the Asia Pacific (Bloomsbury 2018), with Julia Martinez, Claire Lowrie, and Frances Steel; Colonization and Domestic Service (Routledge 2014) with Claire Lowrie; and Matrons and Maids (Arizona University Press 2012). She is lead editor of the new Blloomsbury history series, Empire's Other Histories.
