Barbara Trippeer, Assistant Professor of Design, with experience at both the University of North Texas's College of Visual Arts and Design, and the Fashion Institutue of Technology. Barbara specializes in exploring the limits of traditional design concept and development, through the use of emerging technologies and alternative materials, in a quest to answer the question: "What else can design do?". Barbara maintains an active, practice based resesarch agenda, with a focus on exploring how the balance between sustainable manufacturing and emerging technologies will impact the apparel industry. Through interdisciplinary partnerships with various institutions such as SUNY, FIT, the University of Denver, and Columbia University, Barbara has worked on a variety of biomedical related projects, using commercial forms of additive manufacturing, and digital fabricatrion. Barbara earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design, Paris.
