  I was originally born in Mexico and I have lived in the United States for the last 23 years, so I am an immigrant myself. I work at Midwestern State University in the World Languages and Cultures Department, as a Professor of Spanish. I have worked at this instotution for 19 years. My research goes from the analisis of literary texts to the study of sociological and historical events. I have, for example, research on the literature produced by the Mexican Revolution, as well as reserach on the conditions of women and their participation in the Mexican Revolution. I like to explore all levels of human development and conflict: literature, history, culture, and socio-economic conditions.
