  Elizabeth Skewes is chair of the Department of Journalism and an associate professor in Journalism and Media Studies at the College of Media, Communication and Information at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research interests include media sociology, media ethics, and the media's role in electoral politics. Her work on news practices has led to her current research focus, which examines the efficacy and value of immersive journalism in telling stories about complex and contested topics.
