Week 2 Assignment

1. Given this information, what would be the overall sample size?

The overal sample size would be 105,600 of completed interviews for the survey with 10,600 clusters in total.

2. How many households would ahve to be visited?

In total 621,200 households have to be visited.

3. What do you think of this estimated sample size?

Sample size is very big. Required finacial and other resources may not not match available resources in the country.

It is obvious that smaller sample size will be required for this country using other methodology or approach in survey.

4.How feasible will be to conduct this survey?

It is not feasible for this country to survey such alrge sample due to significant resources and efforts. It will require not only a lot of resources but perhaps it would be not feasible because of time required to conduct survey in so many HH.

5. What are trade-offs in terms of time, money, and quality of survey implementation?

MOH wanted to have district as well as national coverage date. One possible solution could be making it at higher than districst level - provinces.

If we select only province (10) and choose presicion rate +-0.10 (10%). This presicion rate might be sufficinet for the MOH and doesn't affect the quality of coverage data.

Then the total sample size decreases to 3200 completed interviews by visiting 18824 HH. It will require much less resources.
