I am a second year PhD student in American and New England Studies. In this program, I assess the ways that media are able to shape our various identities. I explore questions regarding the relationship between media and identity by examining representations of gender and sexuality, focusing on representations of motherhood on television.

- Master Film and TV
- September 2016 to May 2018
I received an MFA in Film and Television Studies. Continuing to focus on my undergraduate interests, I focus specifically on television employing industry studies, genre studies and fan studies. My Master's thesis builds on my academic interests in feminism and representation. Using a cultural studies framework, my thesis critically analyzes the representation of motherhood in the contemporary science fiction programs.
