  Tamadher is a designer, TEDx speaker and curator with an interior design background. Her main areas of interest are cultural identity, art collaboration and the creative process. Her passion about topics of cultural creative discourse in Islamic society took her towards an academic path for a doctoral research on challenging the cliche image of Islamic desing through collaborative curatorial approach. In the last five years, Tamadher co-founded Project Ulafaa, a reconciliation-through-the-arts initiative to bring Bahraini communities together through art after 2010's political unrest. Besides her PhD research, she is establishing Beige and Teal, a creative studio for design products that cultivates the local resources of Bahrain island, and community projects that foster the creative potentials of emerging artists.
