Mario GarrettPhD is professor of gerontology at San Diego State University. He has a BSc (First Class Honors/summa sum laude) from the University of East London and a PhD from the University of Bath in psychology. He has worked as a deputy director of the United Nations International Institue on Aging, managing proejcts in the People's Republic of China, Morocco and Kular Lumpar. He established the international aging magazine "BOLD" which is still in production as the International Journal on Ageing in Developing Countires. Garrett has written numerous peer-reviewed publications, and blogs in psycholoytoday.com as well as in newspapers and magazine. His latest two books are: Politics of Anguish: How Alzheimer's disease became the malady of the 21st century, and Immortality: With a lifetime gaurantee. His forthcoming book is on Coming of Age: How Films Portray Aging.
