  Eleanor J. Blair received her PhD from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has been a faculty member at Western Carolina University for 25 years. She regularly teachers graduate courses in teacher leadership, assessment and history/philosophy of education. She is a regular presenter at regional, national and international conferences. She has edited four textbooks and her most recent work, By the Light of the Silvery Moon: Teacher Moonlighting and the Dark Side of Teachers' Work, is a 2018 AESA Critics Choice Book Award winner. Her work utilized qualitative methodology and critical pedagogical frameworks to explore cross-cultural issues in teaching, learning and leading in 21st century schools.
