  Dr Diane Charleson has had a long career as a filmamker specialising in documentary. On becoming an academic she has devloped a body of work as a practice based researcher. She has been exploring  methods to revision meories so that they can elicit remembering and storytelling. In doing this she has worked in video installation, still framing and remixing. Her book, "Filmmaking as research:screening memories" was published by Palgrave in 2019
