Introduction

Hello, I'm project officer at the WHO Country Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) located in Sarajevo, and working on non-communicable diseases project briefly called "Reducing Health Risk Factors".

Beside the project I'm often involved in regular BCA (Biannual Collaboration Agreement) activities and that range from immunization to environmental issues. Some of these activities are one-off events on yearly basis and others like immunization have continuity in which efforts are poured from local state and lover levels health authorities, UNICEF and WHO, making it an important issue in a declining coverage of immunized children. Often I am in situation to represent WHO at technical meetings inside the country and BIH is currently underway of drafting multiyear immunization strategy. Please have in mind BIH has unique complex administrative situation due to its constitution, having loose state level, strong entities (2) where health jurisdiction is based, and one independent district.

In immunization I have personal and a professional interest. That is why I applied for this GRISP course.
