  I am Lecturer in Media and Communication and my research work is a the intersection of criticaldiscourse studies and media analysis, with a particular focus on media in relation to the politics of exclusion and citizenship. My current research focus is on mediascapes in Brazil with a special emphasis on social media activism and documentary filmmaking in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.
