  Jessica Acuña is a lecturer of English language at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Born in Venezuela and raised in the United States, Jessica holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in English. She has previously lived and worked in the fields of education and social work in South Africa, Iraqi Kurdistan, and the US. Her research interests include cultural competency, teaching pedagogy, social justice, and learner autonomy.
