  Helena Correia, born and raised in Victoria, Australia; is a cultural manager, curator and designer, currently developing her PhD research in Culture Studies. And, is also a doctorate researcher at the CECC-Centre for the Study of Communication and Culture, at the Catholic University, in Lisbon, Portugal. Having completed MA in Cultural Management, at the University of the Algarve, with the thesis - Communicating Culture: Strategic Communication Management of the Contemporary Art Museums in Portugal (2013) received an Honorary Award from the Portuguese Museology Association (APOM) in the same year; has specialise her intervention(s) in cultural management of Contemporary Art Museums in Portugal, with a strong focus on "transforming" non-profit organization with new ways of telling stories of museum collections, through the lens of Anthropocene and today's environmental crisis - Climate Change. Helena is academically influenced by Rosi Braidotti, Isabel Capeloa Gil, Donna Harawya, Maria Lind and Foucault production of knowledge, alined with her academic interests: Contemporary Culture and Environment, Contemporary Art, Museums, Biennials, Technology, Cyberculture, Literacy, Visual Culture and Cinema.
