  I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies at Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. My research focuses on the ethical implications surrounding the representation of difficult histories in museums and cultural heritage sites, within an Australian and international context. I specifically focus on how Australia's colonial history has been represented in museums, and the extent to which museums address subjects of settler violence, dispossession of Aboriginal lands and cultures, and the ongoing consequences of these colonial processes for Indigenous Australians today. In analysing museum representations and conceptions of ethics, I seek to apply concepts from classical moral philosophy and Indigenous ontologies, as well as concepts from decolonising frameworks.
