    The primary fields of my doctoral study were the history of modern South Asia and the British Empire and the secondary fields were the history of modern China and women's and gender studies. My doctoral dissertation examined the discourse and activities of a radical social reform movement in late colonial India. Concurrently, I also received a certificate in women's, gender, and sexuality studies.
