  Born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Raised through childhood in Brazil. Returned to Uruguay at 7 to complete formal education there. Emmigrated to the US in 1979. Completed a BA education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Completed an MA in Spanish and all the coursework of Ph.D. in Spanish through The University of Virginia (remained in arrested development as ABD). Taught college Spanish at Connecticut College, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Millersville University. Taught Spanish at high shool level with Region 4 School District in Connecticut. Since 2012, Assistant Professor at DLIFLC, in various roles: Spanish Professor, Faculty Development Specialist, and Department of Spanish Chairperson. Part-time Adjunct Instructor with Monterey Penninsula College. Married to Linda for over 30 years; father of 24-year old twins (fraternal boy and girl); ruled by an 11-year-old Shi Tzu.
