Hi everyone! My name is Izza Rasul and I am currently a PhD student in University of Illinois. I have also done Masters in Human Resource Management in 2013 and have also taught classes to undergraduate students for 2 years in U of I. During that time, I have tried to incorporate New Learning method to some extent in my classes and observed benefits and challenges while using a blend of traditional and New Learning techniques simultaneously. I became interested in learning more about the new methods and if it was possible to convert the class teaching into a New Learning style.

On the administrative level, my department was struggling to decide whether to adopt complete New Learning methods in teaching. I felt that I needed to study more about these concepts to fully understand the benefits and challenges of this teaching method. I also wanted to have a first-hand experience as a student in class and taking this course would help me understand the challenges and learning opportunities for students in this course.

I aspire to become a researcher and academician and want to learn new methods especially the role of elearning, New learning and technology in the process of extracting explicit and implicit knowledge. I intend to use these methods on my job in future and contribute to the field by conducting research on new pedagocgical techniques used to maximize learning in peer groups.
