    The IAW (https://www.uni-frankfurt.de/53188950/IAW) is delighted to announce a call for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Research position on digital (in)equalities and belonging for ageing in place. The doctoral position is part of the HOMeAGE international and interdisciplinary training programme on place in later life, coordinated by the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology (ICSG) at the University of Galway, Ireland: https://icsg.ie/doctoral-research-projects/. The generously funded position will start on 1st September 2023 and includes salary, mobility allowance, research & training budget, and family allowance where applicable. The position is for 36 months and includes four-month two secondments, one to the Irish Center for Social Gerontology and one to the International Federation of Ageing in Toronto, Canada. The PhD candidate will be supervised by Prof. Frank Oswald (IAW) and depending on the disciplinary background of the candidate, the doctoral degree can be obtained in either Psychology or Educational Sciences. The IAW is seeking a highly motivated, independent and enthusiastic doctoral researcher with a strong interest in conducting original research on ageing and place in the post-digital age. A Master's degree and excellent track record of academic achievement in either psychology, sociology or educational studies is required. Experience of working on or contributing to ageing research in intersection with any of the following: place, social inequalities, digitalisation, is essential. Required skills include knowledge of the literature on the above, and the ability to carry out qualitative research (e.g. interviews, focus groups) as well as work with quantitative data sets, and combining these into a mixed method approach where appropriate.
