My specialization is development studies and my work focuses more on the environment, climate change, agriculture, sustainable livelihoods and gender. I teach in the Department of Development Studies at Makerere University (Uganda). Between 2018 and 2020, I participated in a project which aimed at understanding the challenges that people face in accessing water and land in rural Uganda. In 2019 - 2020, I implemented a project entitled ‘Farming techniques and livelihood sustainability of rural women in Eastern Uganda’. This project was funded by Government of Uganda through Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (MAK-RIF). In addition, I am a gender focal person in farmer groups and have researched on women’s access to micro credit and sustainable livelihoods.
