Lynne Manzo is an Associate Professor in the College of Buit Environments and an Adjunt Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, US. As an environmental psychologist, Dr. Manzo's work focuses on the interelationships of people and place. In particular, her research examines place meaning and place change, the experience of place and displacement, and the politics of place. Several of her studies have focused on the displacement of public housing residents who are forced to relocate as a result of urban regeneration programs. Her latest book, "Place Attachment: Advances in Theory, Methods and Resarch" with Patrick Devine-Wright (2014) is an edited volume that covers a range of subjects related to place attachment. Her current work examines tensions between processes of settlement and unsettlement in rapidly changing cities and seeks to examine some of the changing contours of place attachments in a context of mobility and change.
