  Gemma Wenner is an Associate Professor at the College of Southern Maryland, where she teaches hospitality and tourism-related courses as well as serves as the Hospitality Program Coordinator.  Dr. Wenner has over 18 years of teaching experience, has owned two restaurants, held high-level supervisory positions in the lodging sector, managed a very busy conference center, and operates vacation rental villas.    While her interests are varied and wide, she is most passionate about event management. She is the co-founder of Mesilla Valley, Onion Festival in New Mexico and the founder of the First Guyana Coconut Festival.  

  Dr. Wenner’s research interest, Marijuana-Tourism and its economic impact.
