  Sarah is a senior lecturer in Physiotherapy and has worked at the University of Huddersfield since 2004. Sarah trained as a physiotherapist at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Following her graduation, she worked in a number of clinical areas before completing a Master in Medical Science at the University of Glasgow. Her MSc research looked at the relationship between the menstrual cycle and injuries in female footballers and this is one of her areas of clinical interest. Sarah was previously a senior lecuturer in Sports Therapy at London Metropolitan University before moving to the University of Huddersfield. Sarah has also completed a part-time MA in Learning and Teaching in Hugher Education and a special interest in widening access and diversity in higher education. Sarah is actively involved in clinical research having considered patient information for whiplash injuries in accident and emergency departments. She was awarded her PhD by the University of Huddersfield having submitted her thesis 'An Exploration of the Influence of Social Ballroom Dancing on Health and Well-being for Older Adults.
