Hi Everyone...

FYI I uploaded a new ZIP file with tutorial datasets to the VCQI User's Group today [in Technet-21: https://www.technet-21.org/en/network/groups/293-vcqi].

Some of you have worked with the tutorial dataset that was already there...from so-called "District 20". That is an instructive but fairly simple (fake) RI dataset from a single stratum. Today I uploaded a set of files holding data from three surveys (RI, TT and SIA) from a fictional country named "Sassafrippi" with two sub-national strata and ten sub-sub-national strata. This can give you practice asking for output from different levels of strata. This fake dataset from Sassafrippi is the one that is used to make the figures in the VCQI User's Guide and it is the one that the VCQI control program templates expect to find...when I say templates, I mean the control programs that you download with the VCQI Stata programs (in the sub-folder named CONTROL). Those template programs are set up to analyze this dataset from Sassafrippi...and if you want to analyze data from another survey, you need to modify the code in Blocks B and D and F of those control programs.

If you have had success downloading the simple District 20 dataset and have successfully run VCQI on that...then move to the next level and download the data from Sassafrippi and try running VCQI on those datasets. Run it without changing inputs at first (change only the location of the folders for input data and output files). When you are successful doing that, have a look at the User's Guide and change some of the inputs in Block D or F.
