Week 8 Journal

This week was a little overwhelming since there was both the final project and a paper due. However, I learnt about some crucial components of prototyping a technology for use in global health purposes. I wouldn't have take logistical considerations into account as much while prototyping an idea as I would now. Build and market feasibility are also very important components to consider. It's not just enough to build a logical device for use in global health purposes, but it's equally necessary to consider the consumers' perspective of the device and whether they have the necessary facilities to sustain with that device and make it successful in their area. These ideas would help me in writing my final project and making the poster. I have learnt a lot in this course and look forward to learning more about global health in the remaining courses in the Global Scholars curriculum.
