Twyla Salm, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina, SK, Canada. She teaches in the area of Health Education and Curriculum Studies. Currently, she is the Director of the Professional Development and Field Placement Office which is a unit that supports cooperating teachers and interns through multiple pre-service field placements. Dr. Salm’s research interests primarily revolve around teaching and learning in higher education with specific interest in developing the professional educator, mentoring and curriculum change in higher education. She also has research interests that focus on teacher education and the implications for interprofessional collaboration on school and community health.
