  Titik Sumarti obtained her Ph.D. from the Rural Sociology Study Program in Department of Communication and Community Development Sciences at the Bogor Agricultural University. She is Associate Professor and Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Human Ecology, Bogor Agricultural University. Before working as Vice Dean, she was Director of Center for Gender and Child Studies at Bogor Agricultural University (2010–2015). In Indonesia, she has been team leader and expert in several projects related to gender and development.
