...MoreTeresa Day Walker, Ed.D. is an eclectic culmination of self; a vibrant learner, the mother of two children plus three more through family blending, an advocate for children and families, and an assistant professor in early childhood education at Central Washington University. Encouraging adult learning through higher education and other professional development opportunities is a passion currently lived out through CWU coursework, presentations, and consulting in areas of child development, family service, diversity, classroom management, leadership, and organizational change. Life as a mom, business owner, Head Start and ECEAP administrator, kindergarten teacher, preschool teacher, and university professor offers the experiential canvas from which beliefs about early childhood education have been formed and continue to develop. With a doctorate from Seattle University, undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southwestern College, and extensive service in programs for impoverished populations; social justice is of personal and professional emphasis.
