Talma Kushnir, Ph.D., psychology. I obtained my B.A. degree in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at Hull University, England. I am a professor of health psychology and head of the Department of Sociology of Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. I have been involved for 20 years at all levels of academic education and training of physicians and health professionals. My main research interests are occupational health psychology, especially in the medical and nursing sectors, focusing on stress, burnout, safety and health promotion; physician-patient communication; and women's mental and physical health and well-being.
