  I studied History at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" where I got my Ba in 2010 and my Ma in 2013 (cum Laude) in medieval, early modern and modern History. In 2016 I moved to Leicester as a part-time PhD student with a research project on the water management in the Roman area in the period 1870-1922. In the academic year 2017/2018 I was also University Tutor at the University of Leicester for a first year module on the  history of nineteenth and twentieth century Europe. In August 2018 I presented two papers at the European Association for Urban History Conference. I am a dedicated, indipendent and proactive researcher. My research intersts focus on the complex and changing relations between nature - in particular water - and society during the nineteenth and twentieth century. My current research project understands the making of the space (urban/rural) as the by-product of a coplex social struggle over water access, distribution and use. It centres on the multiple elements that were involved in the social struggle for water control like culture, legal measures, engineering, medical knowledge, strategy of capital accumulation and local uses of water in the Roman area. More generally, I am interested in the cultural and social history of Italy during the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
