  For more than 3 years, as a member of the human development area of the PDICRC, I have worked on the planning and development of activities, workshops and research on old age and dignified and active aging with the adult population of the Coastal Rural Communities of the Golfo de Nicoya. From these experiences, I have been able to go deeper into the subject, which has given me the opportunity to propose an extension project in which an organizational model is proposed that favors the experience of aging from a human rights, equity, respect and dignity; all with an environmental perspective. In addition, I am currently working on the formulation of a project to build a community reunion center for this population, that project will be developed accords their contextual, socioeconomic and cultural characteristics. These activities, research and projects are carried out through agreements between State and non-governmental institutions, with which interdisciplinary teams have been formed that strengthen the integrality of the approach.
