Sofía Marín Cepeda: (Madrid, 1984) has a PhD in Research on Arts and Body Education in Educational and Social Settings, and is a Graduate in Psychopedagogy as well as holder of a Diploma in Educational Sciences (Primary Education) from the University of Valladolid. She also had a Postgraduate Research Internship (funded by Spain’s Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) attached to the research project SHEO: Spanish National Education Observatory. She is currently finishing a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca and collaborates as a researcher in several research projects related to her area of specialization, like for example the Spanish National Education Observatory; the project Recercaixa "Análisis de las fórmulas de exclusión educativa en las aulas de educación secundaria obligatoria y espacios patrimoniales: modelos para una educación inclusiva a partir del patrimonio cultural”; the Teaching Research Group "Nuevas estrategias para salvar el patrimonio"; and the International Network "RED 14: Red de investigación en enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales". Her professional career has focused on museum education in her capacity as Educator at the Department of Research and Education in Valladolid’s Museum of Contemporary Art “Patio Herreriano”. Apart from several publications on diversity, cultural heritage and its didactics, she has delivered papers and communications in national and international conferences, where she has also served as member of the organizing committee.
