  I am a graduate student at St. Edward's University working toward my Master of Arts in Teaching degree with initial certification. My teaching certification will be in middle and high school History, but I also have an interest in serving English Language Learners and at-risk populations. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Bethany College in Bethany, WV. I developed my degree through the courses offered by the college. The content of my degree integrated History, Art and Business and was approved by a board established by the college. In addition to being a graduate student, I am currently an afterschool coordinator in Del Valle ISD outside Austin, TX. I enjoy providing experiential learning opportunities to my students including Ballet Folklorico, theater, and intramurals. I strive to make content culturally relevant and engaging for students. I hope to teach abroad in the future, specifically in Morocco. Less
