Sara Ebrahem is currently a M.Sc. holder at the architectural engineering and environmental design department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport(AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt. She holds the position of instructor of architectural engineering at the AASTMT and at the department of specified scientific program (SSP), Alexandria university. Driven out of passion for architecture she holds the position of conceptual design architect in various architectural firms in which she contributed in many architectural and urban design projects and competitions locally and internationally, where she creatively seeks to design for the user comfort. Sara's research interests are diverse but related to creating an improved architectural experiences, environments and atmospheres through multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches. From that perspective, she conducted many researches in previous post-grad architectural courses in human behavior, sustainability, museology, affordable housing and conservation and revitalization of areas. Sara`s Thesis currently focuses on the interdisciplinary grounds between architecture and neuroscience scoping the phenomenology of perception in architecture. In that course, she conducted imperial experiments, where one of them took place at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Egypt. From her research findings and the experiments' intriguing results, she wishes to take her research further in the future to move the architectural practice from relying on intuition to guidelines for creating improved user-centered and all-inclusive architectural experiences. She believes that such interdisciplinary approach could result in creating new horizons and perspectives, in which she wishes to specify and implement in both her academic and practical careers.
