Sabahat Nawaz is a designer and a researcher, whose interest lies in exploring the diverse aspects of design as a communication tool. She is curious of spaces, places, and the need of social interaction that may be produced when these ‘spaces’ are converted into ‘places’ of communication. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, London, Frankfurt, Bremen, Rhode Island, and New York.Currently, Sabahat is appointed as Assistant Professor at the School of Art Design & Architecture, National University of Sciences & Technology, Islamabad. She is part of the curriculum development team, and is actively working on the development and setting-up of the Textile Design department at SADA.
