Rebeca Rivera is a PhD candidate in environmental anthropology at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on sustainable consumption practices in urban North America. She was also a fellow in the Urban Ecology IGERT and the Project for Interdisciplinary Pedagogy (PIP). As an urban ecology fellow she conducted interdisciplinary team research on the process of second home development in Washington State. As a PIP fellow she designed and taught classes related to human and environment interactions and sustainability at the University of Washington Bothell campus where she continues to teach.
