  Brown's research locates itself at the nexus of Gender Studies, Religious Studies, and the Decolonial. She has been an advocate of social change (for regional politics, gender norms, interfaith dialogue, and disenfranchised youth) in the Anglophone, Francophone, and Hispanophone Southern Caribbean. She went on to pursue graduate work in Social Change at The Pennsylvania State University, where she is now at the end of her doctorate in American Studies. Brown is a full-time lecturer across Penn State's Humanities, with several years' worth of innovative teaching methods in examining the United States as a global actor.
